2012 Buick Verano
The price of the 2012 Buick Verano which will go on sale in the US later this year has been announced. The 2012 Buick Verano compact sedan will be base at $23,470 including $885 destination fee. There will be three trim levels with the top model priced an MSRP of $26,850.
General Motors stated that the Buick offers more passenger and cargo volume than the Acura TSX sedan or Lexus IS 250 and is available with a heated steering wheel which is not found in the Lexus IS 250 or Infiniti G25. Buick obviously sets the Verano as the affordable luxury sedan and in fact the Verano is priced $10,000 lower than the Lexus IS 250 which as similar size and power.
The 2012 Buick Verano is based on the Chevrolet Cruze with different exterior and interior, as well as additional features and power. All trim levels are powered by a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine, paired with a six-speed automatic transmission which produces 180 horsepower at 6,700 rpm and 171 pound-feet of torque at 4,900 rpm.
The standard features of the Verano include leatherette seating, high-res 7-inch diagonal LED backlit color-touch radio display with IntelliLink technology, 10 airbags, automatic climate control, remote start, power windows and steering wheel radio controls. The upper level will give heated seats, heated steering wheel and standard push-button engine start.
